First of all, i didn't buy this book on Amazon. With that out of the way, I can say that if there is one book I want to take to my grave, this is it. Edgar Allan Poe is a master among masters both in prose and storytelling. His poems are rhythmic, deep, clever, unnerving and moving. His short stories are immersive, often disturbing, occasionally hilarious, and always and engrossing page-turner.
The book itself is gorgeous. The paper as white and smooth as it gets and the bound durable and expertly designed. I couldn't be any happier with this gorgeous collection. I made the idiotic mistake of using this book as a pillow a couple of times, so some of the gold in the lettering fell off (especially in Poe's "O") so you may want to watch out for that if you desire to maintain it impeccable.
