Chapter 8, I’ll Make 10 Gacha Pulls Now
by Silavin“Huh? Is this also a summoning card?”
Among the items that come down with the login bonus, there’s another unfamiliar card. This time, the illustration shows someone walking.
“Auto-rotation?”
The sudden appearance of the term auto-rotation fills my head with question marks once again.
“My… other self!?”
Rest assured…? That’s easy to say, but this whole explanation is so confusing, I’m honestly having trouble keeping up.
“Well, putting that aside for now, what are the other items?”
“A smoke bomb… Does that mean it releases smoke when used?”
“They really thought of everything, huh?”
Is it even okay to receive this many items in just one day?
“With this gear, I think I’ve got a shot. Alright, let’s give it another try. Oh, I’ve got a gacha ticket too!”
Since the previous gacha ticket got me a summoning card, I decide to use it right now.
“Wait, I can do 10 pulls? I want to try it!”
I’m surprised; I’d been expecting to keep doing single pulls.
After Miria’s mutter, the familiar cosmic space spreads across my six-tatami room once again, and I just watch in awe.
“Huh?”
But there’s one thing that catches my attention.
This time, golden lights are flickering throughout the cosmic space. What could that mean?
While I’m wondering, the gacha results keep coming one after another. There are monsters I’ve gotten before, like goblins and healbirds, but a few unfamiliar faces show up too.
Speaking of which, I got three summoning cards from yesterday’s mission, but they ended up being duplicates.
During the mission, I picked up a Goblin (club), a Healbird, and a monster called Brownie. All of them showed up in this gacha too.
“Whoaahhhh!?”
Watching the gacha with a bit of excitement, I’m stunned when a dramatic burst of golden lightning crashes down right at the end.

A large window appears on the ceiling, displaying the card illustrations and monster names.
Looks like one of them has a different rarity than the others.
“I’ve got quite a few cards now! Is this S one noticeably stronger than the others?”
AI Miria displays another window near the ceiling. As I look at the screen, I start feeling pretty excited.

Ooooh. It definitely feels more impressive compared to the R cards.
So it attacks and heals at the same time, huh? Also, there’s something new again.
“What’s Limit Break?”
“So it can get even stronger. I don’t have duplicates of this card, but I think I got extra Goblins and Healbirds.”
“Ah, yeah. Please go ahead.”
Immediately after that, Miria begins the Limit Break procedure.
The cards float steadily near the ceiling, then begin to overlap. Suddenly, bursts of multicolored light scatter across the room.
It’s definitely a flashy show; I’m left speechless, just watching the spectacle unfold.
When the whole process wraps up, Miria’s calm voice comes through the goggles.

“Woa, interesting!”
Just watching this process is starting to feel enjoyable. I even think Miria’s voice sounds a bit more lively than usual. Then again, she’s an AI, so maybe I’m just imagining it.
“Hey, the cards got more star marks on them! Does that mean their usability has really changed?”
“…Alright, I guess I’ll head back in tomorrow.”
It’s beginning to feel like I’m really playing a game. And when it gets like this, I can’t help wanting to test everything out.
Even though I don’t have much free time or money, I end up heading back into the dungeon the next day.
